CAN I STILL EAT CARBS AFTER TRAINING IF I TRAIN AT NIGHT?
The answer to that question is not "Yes you can" but "Yes you SHOULD".
When you perform anaerobic training such us lifting weights you are mostly using stored glycogen from the muscles and the liver for energy. Also, after certain period of training (45 min. and onward) your body starts releasing more of the catabolic hormone cortisol to deal with the prolonged stress on the body. For this reason straight after training you need to reverse this process and establish an anabolic environment. Combination of fast absorbing carbs and protein will do just that. For this reason you should include carbohydrates in your post training meal regardless at what time of the day you train.
