FACE THE CHALLENGES IN LIFE

Life often throws challenges at us. How we deal with them and what we do out of these situations is what makes us who we are and shapes us as an individuals. One of those moments happened to me during my preparation for Musclemania World in 2011. Six days before the comp I happened to break my hand. I was faced with two options. Go to hospital and have the hand in cast and miss the competition or say just f##k it and compete with broken hand and deal with it later. I chose the second option. I remember applaying ice regularly but it would swell up all over again after every posing practice. (The most painful was performing front and rear lat spread where I had to press my hand in the midsection) At the end I ended up competing and winning the first place and my Pro card. You can see in the (left) photo the swollen hand and the way it looked (right) after posing practice. Behind every seemingly impossible situation there lays a possibility. It may not always be apparent and occur to you instantly but it is there and often you have to work for it. It is about how much you want something and what you are willing to do for it. You can lose fat or put on muscle, get fit and get strong. You can be in the best shape of your life. The choice is yours. You live only once. Make the right choice and stop looking for excuses.
